Midfielder Deco netted the other goal for the Spanish champion to
maintain its perfect record in what was its 150th appearance in
Europe's top club competition.
Defender Felipe replied for Udinese, which had Portuguese
midfielder Vidigal ejected in the 49th minute.
Barcelona leads Group C with six points from two games, Udinese
and Panathinaikos have three and Werder Bremen has no points.
"I'm pleased firstly because of the win and secondly for helping
the team with my goals. It's a good result for the team and we
have to keep working," Ronaldinho told Canal Plus.
Ronaldinho opened the scoring at the Camp Nou stadium in the 13th
minute with a curling free kick which left Udinese goalkeeper
Morgan De Sanctis rooted to the spot.
Udinese, which has lost three Italian league matches since it
crushed Panathinaikos 3-0 in its opening Champions League game,
forced Barcelona 'keeper Victor Valdes into diving saves from long
shots by Damiano Zenoni and Vincent Candela.
Felipe scored in the 24th when Felipe volleyed from home at the
far post from Paulo Barreto's corner.
Ronaldinho put Barcelona ahead again in the 32nd when he connected
with a low shot after Eto'o took advantage of Felipe's mistake to
make a powerful burst into the area.
Nine minutes later, Deco curled a free kick out of De Sanctis'
reach after Ronaldinho's dummy run.
With Udinese reduced to 10 men, Ronaldinho came close to his hat
trick in the 63rd and 74th minutes. However, Felipe upended
Ronaldinho in the area and it allowed the Brazil forward to score
his third goal from the penalty spot in the 90th.
Panathinaikos beat Bremen 2-1 in the group's other game Tuesday.
